Select cell format

You can specify the cell format for cells or entire areas of the spreadsheet. The cell format can be a number, currency, or text.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Open a spreadsheet.

  2. Activate the Start tab bar.

  3. Select the area of the spreadsheet for which you want to define the cell format.

  4. Click the Format type Cell format field and select a format.

    For example, if you select Currency, you can limit it to a specific currency. To do so, click the arrow next to the Currency Currency field.

    To set Percentage as the cell format, click Percent Percent.

You have defined a format for an area of the spreadsheet. If you enter a value, the unit may be added as well, for example, EUR.
