Check consistency of data flow dependencies

You can check the consistency of data flow dependencies. The macro evaluates the following aspects and corrects them, if required:

  • General handling

    Data flows having no reference to a superior object in an EPC are output or deleted.

  • Variant handling

    Data flows that were created by variant creation are output or deleted/reassigned. Depending on the start context, various options are available.

This macro can be started for the following elements:

  • Groups

    All models of the relevant type are evaluated in these groups. You can also evaluate the models in the corresponding subgroups.

  • Models of the EPC type

  • Models of the Data flow diagram type

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Right-click a group or models of the EPC or Data flow diagram type on the Explorer tab. If you selected groups, all models of the EPC or Data flow diagram type in these groups are evaluated.

  2. Select Evaluate > Start macro Start macro. The Macro Wizard opens.

  3. Select the Automation category and the Check consistency of data flow dependencies macro.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Specify the relevant settings and click Finish. If you selected a group with subgroups, the system asks whether these are to be included when the macro runs.

  6. The Check consistency of data flow dependencies dialog opens. Select the relevant options. Depending on the start context, various options are available.

  7. Click OK.

The check of consistency of data flow dependencies is performed.
