Register SAP Server for ARIS clients
Establish connections to SAP® Servers that you want to use to run transactions from each ARIS client.
For SAP® Solution Manager 7.2 solutions, administrators register the servers when creating project configurations or solution configurations. If you use ARIS Connector for SAP Solutions, the SAP® Server connection was already specified during the ARIS Connector for SAP Solutions installation.
Prerequisite
The saplogon.ini file or the SAPUILandscape.xml file exists on your computer.
Register SAP® Server
Click ARIS > Options. The Options dialog opens.
Click SAP ® options > Select server on the Selection tab.
Specify the path to the saplogon.ini file or the SAPUILandscape.xml file.
Click Register SAP ® Server. A dialog of the same name opens. All servers specified in the saplogon.ini file of your SAPGUI are displayed.
Select an SAP® Server and click OK.
The server is transferred to the list of registered servers.
If you register more than one server, specify a default server.
Register SAP® Server URL
Click ARIS > Options. The Options dialog opens.
Click SAP ® options > Select server on the Selection tab.
Click Register SAP ® Server URL. A dialog of the same name opens.
Enter the name of the server in the System name box.
Enter the address of the server in the URL box (syntax: https://<server>:<port>/scripts/wgate/webgui/?~transaction=) and click OK.
The server is transferred to the list of registered servers.
If you register more than one server, specify a default server.
Register SAP NetWeaver® Business Clients
Click ARIS > Options. The Options dialog opens.
Click SAP ® options > Select server on the Selection tab.
Click Register SAP ® Server URL. A dialog of the same name opens.
Enable the Enter SAP NetWeaver ® Business Client URL check box.
Enter the SAP NetWeaver® Business Client URL and authentication parameter.
Click OK.
The server is transferred to the list of registered servers.
